What is included in our charter? and Heron is a 65’ Catamaran in Newport, RI (summer season) and St Thomas, USVI (winter season). All charters are private and include captain and crew. Additionally, all fuel and docking charges are included.
What activities do charter guests participate in?Heron's guests enjoy glorious afternoons under the sun, sipping rosé and anchoring off the secluded beaches for swimming and paddle-boarding. Heron is a USCG inspected vessel for up to 40 people. We are happy to put the anchor down for guets to enjoy signature cocktails, swimming, paddle-boarding, and blankets for the chilly sunset sails. Families with kids of all ages, couples, and groups are welcome. The vessel is equipped with speakers to play whatever genre of music is your favorite. Heron is the perfect mix of luxury, sailing, and relaxation.
Is Heron good for celebrations? Yes! Let us know if you are celebrating and we will make your occasion special. Heron is great for corporate events, wedding parties, private parties, bachelorette parties, sunset cruises, and photoshoots. Heron is perfect for hosting large parties and never-ending fun on its spacious topside, a centralized cockpit, two large trampolines, and multiple bean bags for lounging and sunning. What we have aboard Signature Heron's Rum Punch, ice, water, drinkware (no glass), serving ware and blankets for chilly sunset sails. What should I wear and bring?If you plan on swimming or paddleboarding, wear a swimsuit and bring a change of clothes. Sunscreen and towels are recommended. Provisions, additional drinks (no red wine, please), towels, and sunscreen (non-spray) are the only essentials that you will need to bring. Our crew will plate and service any provisions and libations you bring with you. We also have plenty of cooler space and the ability to keep food warm. Captain and crew provide all the necessary accommodations for a comfortable cruise. We are happy to recommend local caterers. What is your cancellation policy?All charters must be canceled at least 72 hours in advance to receive a full refund. Unfortunately, charters not canceled at least 72 hours in advance are non-refundable. What if it is rainy or rough?If we must cancel your excursion due to weather, our team will contact you as early as possible. We’d love to reschedule your charter, although if it doesn't work out, a full refund will be granted. The beauty of sailing on a catamaran is it’s completely stable. The captain can easily put Heron in irons (keep her at a standstill) to allow for more comfortable maneuverability when needed for all guests. Is there a bathroom? There is a bathroom and there are staterooms available for changing. Heron was originally built for a family to sail around the world. Her interior is extremely comfortable and safe, cool, and shaded, with room to sit on the couch.
